Gear: Postlude

As you know, yesterday I traveled down to "the big parking lot down south" to vist Guitar Center. Unfortunately, the approved budget for the trip didn't exactly match the final cost.

I had planned on getting 2 cheapo Behringer mics for $20 a piece. When they didn't have them, I ended up getting swindled into a $130 Electro-Voice N/D767a Dynamic Supercardioid Vocal Microphone.

It's actually a really sweet mic. It's loud, has great tone, and is practically indestructible. Plus the guy from Guitar Center knocked off $10.

Unfortunately, what was supposed to cost $120, ended up being a $240 trip down credit card debt lane. The two stage lights that I got ended up being over fifty bucks. Overall, I'm satisfied with my new gear, I just wish it didn't cost so much for a couple of light bulbs and a mic.
